6 facts about the power of consecration

18 – “Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

19 – For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.” (Genesis  chapter 18 verses 18 to 19)

Consecration is the quality foundation for a successful and triumphant christian living. To go high, you must go deep.

If the revelation of Jesus Christ is not strong to you, you don’t have a strong foundation.

“According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.” (1Corinthians chapter 3 verses 10)

Consecration begins with covenant and vow. Consecration is dedicating certain things to God for His holy purpose and you will not mess up those things.

Facts about consecration

  1. The first sacrifice to bind is one’s life

“God is the LORD, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.” (Psalm chapter 118 verses 27)

 

  1. Laying down your body for the master’s course. Consecration is setting one’s body apart for God for His holy purpose.

1 – I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 – And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Romans chapter 12 verses 1 to 2)

“If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.” (2Timothy chapter 2 verses 21)

 

  1. Making full commitment. Once you make consecration, God makes commitment to meet you there.

16 – And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:

17 – That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

18 – And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.” (Genesis chapter 22 verses 16 to 18)

 

  1. Be ready to pass the test. Anyone who genuinely follow Him can pass any test.

“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (Hebrews chapter 12 verses 2)

 

  1. You can a man after God’s heart. You do not walk in consecration, to avoid going to hell, you walk in consecration to become a person after God’s own heart.

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul.” (Mark chapter 8 verses 36)

“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” (Daniel chapter 11 verses 32)

 

  1. You can become a friend of God. If you must be a friend of God, you must not be a friend to the world.

14 – Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15 – And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

16 – And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.” (2Corinthians chapter 6 verses 14 to 16)

Conclusion:

Matt.5.48 – Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” (Mathew chapter 5 verses 48)

When we walk in consecration we can become like God.
