5 things you must know
- God is the record:
18 – “And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;
19 – I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.” (Revelation chapter 2 verses 18 ro 19)
There is a record of every man’s work on earth. Be it with God or with man. Never you think that secret will drive to eternity. There an unseen being that sees every affairs of man. The record of every man’s good and evil deals is being recorded. It is your record that will determine your last placement after one’s journey here on earth.
- God is the reward:
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Hebrews chapter 11 verses 6)
There is a reward to every act of man here on earth. Every work of man will be brought into judgement. There is a reward to every good work. There is also reward for any bad work. The work of everyone will determine his or her reward. No one will expect good reward when he or she did not deliver good work. Your reward will be based on your work.
13 – “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 – For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” (Ecclesiastes chapter 12 verses 13 to 14)
- The quality of every man’s work shall be revealed by fire at the end of his journey:
11 – “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 – Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 – Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
14 – If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 – If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.” (1Corianthians 3 verses 11 to 15)
- There is no action of man that is not without eternal consequences:
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.” (1Corianthians 15 verses 58)
13 – “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 – For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” (Ecclesiastes chapter 12 verses 13 to 14)
“And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.” (Revelation chapter 14 verses 13)
- The Lord Jesus Christ is waiting for every man at the end of the tunnel:
“His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” (Mathew chapter 25 verses 21)
This is the expectations of everyone, but it calls for deliberate work and action. That is for those who were able to deliver good work. Every good work attracts good recommendations.
Conclusion:
“Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” (Philippians chapter 2 verses 12)
No one is expected to be living his or her life as though it does not matter. If it does not matter now, does not mean it would not matter some day. What if the it does not matter, later became the matter at last? It will be miserable and terrible to anyone who became a victim.
