5 knowing to effective leadership

  1. Understand you are a born leader:

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” (Genesis chapter 1 verses 26)

You are a born leader and that is who you are. God made you a leader on earth and you have to live with the consciousness of who you are created to be.  It is you responsibility to live and fulfill your course on leadership. Now you know you are a born leader, it should also stick to you that you are not an accident. It is in your power to make your leadership count.

“And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” (Revelation chapter 5 verses 10)

 

  1. Understand you are blessed as a leader.

There is God’s blessings up on your life to succeed as a leader. There is an enablement to succeed as leader and to discharge your leadership effectively and efficiently.  You should carry yourself with all prestige that the One that created you in His image and likeness.  You should know that everything needed to exercise your leadership effectively is bestowed on you. You can’t leave to fail yourself and your Maker on the course of leadership.

27 – “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 – And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” (Genesis chapter 1 verses 27 to 28)

 

  1. Understand that you need to grow.

That you are born  a leader is never enough. That you have the mandate of God Almighty upon your life is never enough. That you have God’s blessings upon your life is perfect. But you need to understand there is a place for personal development. If you fail in the place of personal development, that can elude the flow of your leadership. You can’t exercise leadership more than your growth.

1 – “Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;

2 – But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.” (Galatians chapter 4 verses 1 to 2)

 

  1. Understand that people have passed through the path of leadership.

There is nothing new under the sun. Many have been here before we arrived. And after we live and left, many will still be here. People have been in leadership before we came into place, some left a good legacy and for some others their legacy is nothing to write home about. If you want to exercise your leadership in an effective way,  you need to study men who exercised effective leadership. You have your choice to make and you will be held responsible for your decision.

7 – “Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.

8 – This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” (Joshua chapter 1 verses 7 to 8)

 

  1. Understand that you have a course to fulfill.

20 – According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.

21 – For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” (Philippians chapter 1 verses 20 to 21)

You are never an accident. You were wonderfully and fearfully made by God Almighty. You are made by purpose for responsibility and one of those responsibilities is to exercise genuine leadership. No matter what it takes you to go about your responsibility on leadership, pay the price. For there will be a day of accountability. Never you forget, people are watching you. You must live to fulfill your course effectively.

6 – For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

7 – I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

8 – Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

9 – Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me:

Conclusion:

You owe it to yourself on how you desire to exercise your leadership. You are leading people because people are watching you. You will leave a legacy of a good and effective leader or the legacy of a bad leader. It is up to you.
