4 major reasons why people are trapped
1. Lack of vision or dream:
There is always a reason to live. When there is no reason to live on the part of anyone, abuse is inevitable. If someone does not have anything for tomorrow, he or she can’t live to happily welcome tomorrow. The vision one has concerning her life is what keeps him or her going even in the midst of storms. The future is a reality when there is a clear vision. You can’t go more than the vision you have for yourself.
“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” (Proverbs chapter 29 verses 18)
On the path to fulfilling destiny, it is disastrous to walk through the path of destiny with a clear vision. People perish not because they are not healthy, people perish not because they are not wealthy, people perish not because they do not have the necessary connections, people perish not because they do not have what it takes to succeed, people perish only because they lack vision.
Vision is the picture everyone has for a beautiful tomorrow. You must picture it at first if you must step into it. When the vision is not clear, any path can serve. If you are the kind who thinks every path can serve, you are with the wrong mindset. It is never every path that can lead to one’s desired end. Why some lead to destination, others lead to damnation. Life is all about one seeing the light and becoming the light in the midst of darkness. Vision is the dream of one’s purpose in life.

2. Lack of knowledge:
“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.” (Luke chapter 2 verses 52)
Knowledge is power. It is the power to navigate through the odds of life and to arrive to one’s desired end. Knowledge is the information one has about going through fulfilling destiny and how he or she can go about it without being overcome by the storms of life. It is the level of knowledge one has about a particular vision will determine how far he or she can go to achieve it.
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” (Hosea chapter 4 verses 6)
People are limited in what they can do because of lack of knowledge. When people are trapped in life, they are trapped because that is how far their knowledge can take them. Lack of knowledge is threat to fulfilling destiny. Knowledge is the light anyone carries to help shine through the path of destiny. Once there is lack of knowledge, there will not be illumination shining through the path of destiny.

3. Lack of discipline:
23 – “And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
24 – For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
25 – For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?” (Luke chapter 9 verses 23 to 25)
One of the vital ingredients in life to live successful is applying the act of discipline in one’s daily routine. The authenticity of discipline in one’s life is what makes the difference in the life of someone. Discipline is what creates order in one’s life and place him or her in the right path of destiny for purpose fulfilment. There is no true path to purpose fulfilment without the embodiment of discipline.
No indisciplined man and woman accomplishes anything meaningful in life. Anybody who must achieve something great in life, must be discipline. The greatest enemy to destiny or progress in life is lack of discipline. Discipline is the ability to do what is right even when it is not convenient. Nothing moves in life except something moves it.

4. Lack of grace:
“But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” (1Corianthians chapter 15 verses 10)
You should understand where your strength can take you. By the arm of flesh shall no one prevail. We all need the supernatural intervention in the pursuit of purpose and its fulfillment. You need the help of God in everything you do. This involves prayer. Prayer is telling God to come and do what you cannot do for yourself.
