4 conditions for receiving righteousness

Righteousness is having a right standing with God, thereby doing that which pleases God.

7 – “Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

8 – He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

9 – Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

10 – In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.” (1John chapter 3 verses 10)

 

  1. You must have the new birth experience:

“Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:” (Romans chapter 3 verses 22)

“Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;” (Romans chapter 3 verses 25)

 

  1. You must have a steadfast faith in God:

3 – “For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

4 – Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.

5 – But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” (Romans chapter 4 verses 3 to 5)

 

  1. You must desire to walk right before God:

“Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.” (Psalm chapter 5 verses 8)

 

“My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.” (Job chapter 27 verses 6)

 

  1. You must developed unfailing hunger and thirst after righteousness:

“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” (Mathew chapter 5 verses 6)
