4 areas of consecration
- Consecration of one’s body:
1 – I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 – And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Romans chapter 12 verses 1 to 2)
15 – “Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
16 – What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
17 – But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
18 – Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
19 – What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 – For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” (1Corinthians chapter 6 verses 15 to 20)
Consecration deals with with anything that will want to hinder anyone for God flowing through the person. The human body is the temple of God but God will not flow through a vessel that is not fit for His move. Every vessel God must use must meet up with the standard of God. That vessel must be satisfied properly for the master’s use.
- Consecration of time:
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:” (Ecclesiastes chapter 3 verses 1)
“And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.” (Mark chapter 1 verses 35)
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” (Isaiah chapter 40 verses 31)
There is time for everything under the sun. You must have time when you will study the word, meditate on the word and pray.
- Consecration of relationship:
“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” (James chapter 4 verses 4)
Friends is by selection and you must make the right selection. If God cannot call you out from people that will cripple you spiritually, physically and mentally, He can’t do much with you. There must be a separation. You must separate yourself for the master’s use.
- Consecration of money:
17 – And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.
18 – But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.” (Deuteronomy chapter 8 verses 17 to 18)
“If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?” (Luke chapter 16 verses 11)
“Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;” (1Timothy chapter 6 verses 17)
What God wants for His people is not asset but access. No matter what you have acquired, you did not acquired them in your own power. It is God that gave them to you. Therefore glorify God in all your possessions.
Conclusion:
Everyone is a born a priest. Jesus had made us priest and king unto our God, and we shall reign on earth. Consecration is the foundation for greater walk with God Almighty as a believer and in the kingdom. Consecration is the bedrock of greatness in the kingdom.
