3 reasons to finish strong
- God made you a complete product of His pleasure.
You have to realise that you are not ordinary. You are a finished product of a great God. You can’t be thinking less of yourself when the Lord God Almighty is thinking great about you. You are a great product in the hand of a great and mighty God. God does not do little things. It was God Almighty that handled the full work of man. God began it and finished it. The breath that God breathed into man is the breath to finish whatever one is able to start.
“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” (Revelation chapter 4 verses 11 KJV)
There is need to understand that whatever you are able to start, you have the ability to finish. Life is not about what you are able to start, life is about completing what you are able to start. If you are unable to complete it, is it as good as when you did not start in the first place. There is nothing in life that is as beautiful as cultivating the attitude of finishing what you were able to start.
- You are created in God’s complete image and likeness.
Everything about you is a complete product of God Almighty. You don’t have to panic about starting anything, you have to stir up the consciousness that you have what it takes to complete what you are able to start. Created in the image and likeness of God, finishing strong should be an attitude. Yes, finishing strong should be a life style.
You may have faced some obstacles on the way to accomplish that dream, even when the only option before you demands that you should quit, you don’t have to give in. You have to stand a little long and with that you will withstand that obstacle and proceed to the finishing end. You can imagine if there is no accomplishment attached to God Almighty. God is God Almighty because He has done great and mighty things.
27 “So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
28 Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.” (Genesis chapter 1 verses 27-28 NLT)
- The breath of perfect completion runs in you.
You were an unfinished product according to the book of Genesis chapter 2 verses 7,
“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” (Genesis chapter 2 verses 7)
The breath of finishing strong was breathed into man and he became a living being. You don’t have any reason not to finish whatever you lay hold on. It could be tough to handle but you are tougher that any tough moment. You have to so much believe in your complete product in the image and likeness of God Almighty whose breath flows in you.
“O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! Who hast set thy glory above the heavens.” (Psalms chapter 8 verses 1 KJV)
There is hope for the living. It necessary to live to faithfully complete whatever that is entrusted in our hands. The family you are in was one’s responsibility completed. The church I worship was someone’s responsibility completed; and I am happy my pastor, Dr David Ogbueli saw to it, that many of us came to embrace and know God more through the platform of Dominion City whose motto is raising leaders that transforms society.
Conclusion
Do not worry about any thing as long as you are in genuine alignment with God Almighty. If God is by your side there is nothing you are able to start that you can’t finish. It is in your power to finish that project. It is too late to quit.
