3 facts why God want you to be courageous

  1. God wants you to always be courageous.

“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” (Joshua chapter 1 verses 9 KJV)

You have to always bear in mind that the fall of man paved a way for the devil to evoke so much evil to the world system that will only take those who are courageous enough to put and make things right. Nothing in life is ever going to be easy. The journey of fulfilling destiny is a rough one. It only takes those who are courageous to navigate through. The tasks ahead is too tough for mere men to be able to handle men. If one is not courageous, he or she will succumb before any challenge.

It is quite alright that God Almighty has good plans for us and the land He has prepared for us is a land flowing with milk and honey, but we need to be courageous enough to access it. In the journey of destiny, one of the greatest  challenges is not that there is no beautiful ending before us, one of the greatest challenges is when we lack the courage to press to the end.

“And what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be ye of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the firstripe grapes.” (Number chapter 13 verses 20)

“And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.” (Number chapter 13 verses 27)

30 – “And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.”

31 – But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.”

32 – And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.

33 – And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight. (Number chapter 13 verses 30 – 33)

These men who brought the evil report and those who believed in their report, since they are not courageous enough, they all died in the wilderness. They never accessed their place of inheritance because of lack of courage. This is what happens when one lack courage.

  1. God wants you to totally abide in Him.

Dr David Ogbueli said, “If God is your source, you better make Him your sustainer.”

God is the source of man. It is obvious we can do nothing on our own without having a genuine link with the source. Everything we need to be courageous flows from the source. Once one is not properly connected to the source, defeat is inevitable. No one will arrive in a fulfilled life who does not have a cordial relationship with God.

4 – “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

5 – I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

6 – If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.” (John chapter 15 verses 4 to 6)

Let your being courage flow out of your connection with God Almighty  knowing full well that God by your side all things are possible. And you will definitely arrive at a beautiful ending.

  1. God demands your total obedience.

God did not promise us a pain free life, but He has promised us a glorious ending if only we will yield to His commandments. Life is governed by principles. Life is a reporter of principles. If anyone abides by the principles of God as his or her source of being courageous, he or she will definitely experience a beautiful ending.

“If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.” (Job chapter 36 verses 11 KJV)

Conclusion

Dr David Ogbueli said, “Half obedience equals no obedience.” You get that. It is not you choosing what you will obey when it comes to the principles of God. It is complete obedience that makes the difference.
