3 FACTS ABOUT YOU AND THE CHALLENGES OF LIFE
- God faced obstacle when He stepped out for creation.
“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” (Genesis chapter 1 verses 2 KJV)
You were created to solve a problem. That problem can stand as a opposition to fulfilling your destiny. You should realise that you were not created to just live without any responsibility. You can imagine if all that you live to do is to eat, sleep, wake up, eat and sleep again. What significance would that have made? You would have been better one never existed in the first place. Life is more than just living. Life is more of solving problems.
There is no controversy that you were created to face opposition and to overthrow it. You should know that you are an answered prayer to the family your found yourself. There was an opposition that your family thought that was too tough for them to overthrow when they started seeking and asking God for a back up. God actually answered that prayer when He sent you. When God wants to deliver people, He sends someone. Never you think that opposition will wear you down, always believe you are born for a time like this to liberate your people and cause much light to shine in your family.
14 If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. What’s more, who can say but that you have been elevated to the palace for just such a time as this?”
15 Then Esther sent this reply to Mordecai:
16 “Go and gather together all the Jews of Susa and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will do the same. And then, though it is against the law, I will go in to see the king. If I must die, I am willing to die.” (Esther chapter 4 verses 14 to 16 NLT)
If God faced it, you will face it. If God overthrew the opposition, you have what it takes to overthrow it because you are created in God’s image and likeness. That is the knowledge that stirred in Esther mind when she decided to take that bold step.
- God was obsessed with what He wanted to accomplish.
“And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.” (Genesis chapter 1 verses 31 KJV)
One thing you get to hold on diligently as you confront that opposition is to keep the dreams and the visions alive. You should not fix your eyes on the opposition as though it is the eluding force you need to overcome then you start thinking of what next to do. On this journey to fulfilling destiny, you get to understand that there is need to be driven by your dreams and vision. Yes, opposition and obstacles will always surface but they are never real as your dreams and vision.
You should be more keen in accomplishing that goals than being frightened and getting discouraged by challenges of life. Let every challenge you encounter in your journey of life stir more energy in you to press forward. Whatever it is you have desired to accomplish, it is up to you to accomplish them. You are made in God’s image and likeness, you have what it takes to accomplish whatever it is.
6 – So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work.
7 – But it came to pass, that when Sanballat, and Tobiah, and the Arabians, and the Ammonites, and the Ashdodites, heard that the walls of Jerusalem were made up, and that the breaches began to be stopped, then they were very wroth,
8 – And conspired all of them together to come and to fight against Jerusalem, and to hinder it.
9 – Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God, and set a watch against them day and night, because of them.” (Nehemiah chapter 4 verses 6 to 9)
- You are bigger than any opposition and Challenge.
“You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority.” (Psalms chapter 8 verses 6 NLT)
Be careful the way you quit or run away from any given task and responsibility, it may be the devil that is trying to pull you off track towards accomplishing it. Do you know the devil frowns at your existence; he becomes afraid when you discover your responsibility; and he trembles when you pray and go about your responsibility.
It is interesting to know that the devil is afraid of you. He is not the lion, he portrays himself as a lion. His aim is to make you believe he is the lion. There is only one lion, which is the Lion of the tribe of Judah. God is the Lion. Devil is that opposition that wants you to give up and quit your responsibility. He understands the destruction that will befall his kingdom when you live to your responsibility. King David understood it better when he stood before Goliath in 1 Samuel chapter 17 verses 44 to 46 NLT)
44 “Come over here, and I’ll give your flesh to the birds and wild animals!” Goliath yelled.
45 David shouted in reply, “You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD Almighty–the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.
46 Today the LORD will conquer you, and I will kill you and cut off your head. And then I will give the dead bodies of your men to the birds and wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel!”
Conclusion
Whatever challenge that confronts you is one of those obstacles and oppositions you were created to destroy. You have all it takes to destroy them as long as you keep your belief and trust in God.
