13 points living a purposeful life
- You must understand you were created by purpose for purpose.
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” (Genesis chapter 1 verses 26)
- You must understand that you need to understand your true source is God Almighty to enable you fulfill your purpose.
“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” (Genesis chapter 1 verses 27)
The source of anything is its sustainer. Water is the source for aquatic life, and they can’t do without water. Soil is the source for trees and herbs, they can’t do without the soil. So it is with God and man. When you constantly realise, that God is your source, you will live to fulfill purpose.
- You must understand that God blessed you for your purpose.
“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” (Genesis chapter 1 verses 28)
- You must understand you are God’s word made real for a specific purpose.
1 – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 – The same was in the beginning with God.
3 – All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 – In him was life; and the life was the light of men. (John chapter 1 verses 1 to 4)
God’s word is God Himself. You can’t separate God’s word from God. We are the word made flesh. We are the evident working word of God to fulfill His purpose here on earth.
- You must understand you need constantly close walk with God to fulfill purpose.
“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.” (John chapter 15 verses 4)
No matter how great you have become, you should always bear it in mind it is God that grant you such priviledge. Any time you become great in your own eyes and start neglecting your source, you will start experiencing difficulties. Purpose fulfilment is possible with constant recognition of God.
- You must understand you were chosen by God for a specific purpose.
“According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:” (Ephesians chapter 1 verses 4)
“For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.” (Deuteronomy chapter 7 verses 6)
Among all that strive to come through, God found you qualified. God chose you and granted you the priviledge to be a vessel for the master’s use. God have qualified you for your purpose.
- You must understand that your purpose is to bear fruit
“Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.” (John chapter 15 verses 2)
You have to understand that your existence is for a purpose and in that purpose you will make the earth a bit better than you met it through reflecting God’s glory that is in you. There are lives in your purpose you are made to reach out and transform.
- You must understand you cannot fulfill your purpose alone
“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” (John chapter 15 verses 5)
- You must understand that your purpose is to bear fruit
“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” (John chapter 15 verses 16)
You are privileged to live and that is for a purpose. God never created anyone to mark time. You are in to fulfill a specific purpose to gladen God’s heart. Once God is happy with you, you will always find fulfillment.
- You must understand and accept you are created for such responsibility
“Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.” (John chapter 4 verses 34 KJV)
You must come to the point of thinking as the only one standing for that specific purpose. If you did not handle it, no one else can handle it perfectly well.
- You must endure whatever training it will take you to be fit for your purpose.
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2Timothy chapter 2 verses 15)
“Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.” (Job chapter 13 verses 15 KJV)
You must be willing to understand the necessary trainings that will enable you live successfully and fulfill your purpose. Where you are going or where God is taking you, He has sent men ahead of you. If only you will take the time to read their footprints, you will live successfully and fulfilling purpose.
- You must understand that you have to bring your body under subjection to fulfill your purpose.
“But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.” (1 Corinthians chapter 9 verses 27)
You must also bring your body under subjection. It is your responsibility and with the mercy of God Almighty you will always prevail.
- You must understand that you must give your best in fulfilling your purpose.
“And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.” (Mathew chapter 25 verses 20)
You have to give your best at any opportunity that comes your way. Never say you have done your best when things are not yet as they suspose to be. Your best is not yet the best until the best is achieved.
Conclusion
You have a purpose to fulfill and it is in your responsibility to fulfill it. And do not forget that the final statement from the Lord God Almighty will be,
“His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” (Mathew chapter 25 verses 21)
